What is PowerDeck?

The one-sentence version

PowerDeck is software that runs on a small computer at your home or business, monitors your solar panels, batteries, and smart plugs in real time, and lets you see and control everything from a single dashboard.

The problem it solves

Solar and battery equipment — inverters, charge controllers, energy meters — comes from dozens of manufacturers, each with its own app, its own data format, and its own cloud service. A home with a solar inverter, a battery, and a few smart plugs can easily end up with four or five different apps that don't talk to each other.

PowerDeck connects everything into one place. It reads live data from your inverter, controls smart plugs and switches, and presents all of it in a single dashboard — with history, trends, and automation on top.

Who it's for

Homeowners with solar — you want more visibility and control than the manufacturer's app gives you. You buy a licence and run PowerDeck on your own hardware.

Solar installers — you manage many client sites. The Installer Hub gives you a fleet dashboard showing all your clients' systems in one view, with wholesale activation tokens to license each site.

What makes it different

  • Local-first. PowerDeck runs on hardware you own. Your energy data, device states, and settings stay on your premises — not in our cloud.
  • Keeps working offline. If your internet drops out, your dashboard, automations, and rules keep running. Only licence checks, updates, and remote features pause.
  • No port forwarding. All connectivity is outbound-only, so it works behind any ISP — including Starlink and mobile broadband (CGNAT).
  • One dashboard for everything. Solar production, battery state, smart plugs, tariffs, and automations in a single interface.
